Religious and Cultural Voices Meet in Madrid

A new gathering in Madrid brought together religious representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, promoted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, focused on education, prevention and dialogue as tools against prejudice. The meeting included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, Madrid a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers presented reflections from faith, culture and public service on how mutual knowledge can help build more inclusive communities.

Throughout the gathering, participants addressed themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, emphasised that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when rooted in respect for human rights.
